About Me:

Hi, I'm the Hobbit at Home! Namely because this blog will mostly be written while I'm at home and I am constantly teased about my "short" stature (even though I am roughly 5ft4, about average height for British women). I'm also a huge fan of fantasy and historical based novels.

I'm a second year student at Bath Spa University, studying English Literature and Creative Writing. I am a writer of mainly short stories and scripts (preferring theatre and TV to film), though I'm willing to give most things a go in the name of art! On occasion I'll even put my little toe into the sea of poetry, though it makes me somewhat nervous still! I've also been asked to write for a new woman's magazine called 'Spread', so some of my articles may pop up on here, once they've been published.

My favourite authors include Philippa Gregory, Jane Austen, George Orwell, Charlotte Bronte, J K Rowling, George R R Martin, Andrea Levy, Ian McEwan, J R R Tolkien, Malorie Blackman and so and so forth! There are many more that I have probably forgotten to include, but may write more about later on.
